(A) in a large bowl mix 2 cups sifted self-rising flour, 2 cups sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt
(B) in a large pan melt 2 sticks oleo, 1 cup water, and 3 tbsp cocoa
(C) in a bowl beat 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk, and 1 tsp soda

Pour B into A a little at a time mixing well. Pour C into AB mixture and mix well. Add 1 tsp vanilla and mix. Pour into greased 11' x16' or 11' x 18' deep pan. Bake at 350 º for 25 minutes.

Sheet Cake Icing
In a large pan melt 1 stick oleo, 3 tbsp cocoa, and 6 tbsp milk. Bring to a boil and remove immediately. Add 1 box confectioners sugar a little at a time and then add 1/2 cup pecans and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour over warm cake and spread.
