3 lbs spare ribs or loin ribs
1 lemon, sliced
1 C chopped onions
2 T brown sugar
1 t salt
1 t dry mustard
1/4 t chili powder
1/8 t cayenne pepper
2 T Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 C vinegar
1 C tomato juice
1/4 C ketchup
1/2 C water

Mix all ingredients for TEXAS BBQ SAUCE and simmer. Place ribs in serving size pieces, on rack in shallow baking pan. Cover each with lemon slice and onions. Bake uncovered at 450 for 30 minutes. Pour BBQ sauce over all. Reduce heat to 350 and bake for 1 1/2-2 hours. Baste every 15 minutes. If sauce thickens, add hot water. To prevent ribs from browning too much cover last 30 minutes.
