1 cup canned pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. slat
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. allspice
6 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts if desired

milk, butter, powdered sugar

Beat all ingredients well until blended. Add vanilla, lemon rind and mix then add soda, cinnamon,salt,ginger,allspice,flour, and nuts.

Drop on baking sheet at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
