1 pound shrimp, shelled and deveined
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
salad/cooking oil

Directions:
Directions:
Wash, shell and devein the shrimp.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

In a separate bowl beat the egg, add milk and mix thoroughly. Add this to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.

Pour enough oil in a frying (or electric frying) pan so that it will cover the shrimp. Heat the oil to 375º F.

Dip shrimp into the batter one at a time. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until brown. Drain on a paper towel.
