3/4 c. margarine
4 bananas, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. self-rising flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and sugar thoroughly. Blend in bananas, eggs, and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Stir into banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Add nuts and mix well. Pour into greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done.
