1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
4 TB melted shortening
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
Jam of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º, line muffin tins.
Mix dry ingredients into a large bowl and blend thoroughly.
Make hollow in center.
Add milk, egg, shortening.
Mix (be careful not to over mix)
Put batter in muffin tins.
Place 1 tsp jam in center of each muffin.
Bake 20 minutes
