1pkg. Dry yeast
¼ cup warm water
2 cup flour
1 cup oleo
1 egg well beaten
2 egg yolks, well beaten

Filling:
2 egg whites
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup ground walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix together flour and oleo. In another bowl, lightly mix egg and egg yolks with yeast mixture. Add to flour mixture and stir well. Divide dough into 6 balls and place in refrigerator for ½ hour. Remove balls one by one; roll out on floured board to ¼” thickness. Cut into 8 sections and spread with filling. Roll each section toward point. Place on ungreased pan and bake 15 to 20 minutes in 375F oven. Makes 48 butterhorns.

Filling:
Beat egg whites until fluffy. Gradually add sugar, beat until stiff. Fold in vanilla and nuts.
