5 lb. chuck roast
1 onion quartered
2 cloves garlic minced
1 cup red wine
1 cup water
2 t. sugar
1/4 t. pepper
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
carrots
potatoes

Directions:
Directions:
Put roast into greased roasting pan. Cut onion and place on top of roast. Mince garlic and place on roast as well. Mix other ingredients except veggies. Pour over roast. Cook for 1 1/2 hours at 325º. Add vegetable and cook for another 1 1/2 hours. basting throughout cooking time.
