2 C brown sugar (packed)
1 C sugar
1 C cream (20%)
2 T light corn syrup
1/4 t salt
2 T butter
1 t vanilla
1/2 C chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine in saucepan: brown and white sugar, cream, corn syrup and salt. Stir over medium heat to dissolve sugar. Cook to 234º-on thermometer-or until dropped in cold water forms a soft ball. Stir occasionally. Remove from heat. Add 2 T butter. Let stand without stirring until pan is lukewarm (110º). Add 1 t vanilla and beat until creamy. Mix in 1/2 C nuts. Pour into greased 8-9" pan. Chill and cut into squares.
