1/2 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon minced onion
2 tablespoons lemon juice or cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients and chill. Serve over salad. Yield: about 1/2 cup.

These ingredients may be added to taste: Chopped green pepper, prepared horseradish, chopped parsley, Worcestershire sauce or herbs such as basil, marjoram, rosemary or savory.
