"The most remarkable thing about my mother is that for thirty years she served the family nothing but leftovers. The original meal has never been found."--Calvin Trillin

Personal Notes:
This is my mother’s recipe. She always served the tenderloin with brown rice, steamed vegetables, baked cinnamon apples, and homemade biscuits. Driving back from Chapel Hill for winter break, my brothers and I looked forward to arriving home to the sweet smell of honey-grilled pork tenderloin! The tradition continues when Uncle Ben arrives home on Friday evenings after a long week of traveling and selling roller bearings. As he opens the door he says, “Dad’s home, I’m looking forward to a home cooked meal!”
