1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 onion
3 garlic cloves
1 egg
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. cumin
1/2 to 3/4 c. bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mash black beans with a fork until thick and pasty. In a food processor, finely chop bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Stir into beans. In a small bowl, stir together the egg, chili powder, and cumin. Add to bean mixture. Mix in bread crumbs until the mixture is sticky and holds together. Divide mixture into 4 patties. Grill or bake about 8 minutes on each side. They will be easier to cook if you freeze them solid before cooking.
