1 cup margarine
1 cup shortening
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
4 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine, shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Roll dough into balls about the size of walnuts and roll the balls in some powdered sugar. Place on a greased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 F for 12 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
