3 c. flour
3 c. quick oatmeal
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
1 T. cinnamon
1 T. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
1-1/2 c. water
1 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, outmeal, nuts, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking powder, ground cloves and salt in a large bowl. Set aside. Mix sugar, raisins, water, vegetable oil and baking soda in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil 4 minutes. Pour into flour mixture. Put teaspoonfuls far apart on cookie sheet to allow for spreading. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.
