1 yellow cake mix (save one cup for topping)
4 eggs
1 1/2 sticks butter or margerine
i cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large can pumpkin
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

CRUST: Combine cake mix (less one cup), 1 stick softened butter and one egg. Press into 9 x 13 * pan. FILLING: Mix 3 well beaten eggs, pumpkin, evaporated milk, cinnamon, 1/2 cup white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Pour on top of crust. TOPPING: 1 cuo cake mix, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup nuts, 1/2 stick soft butter.Mix and sprinkle on top of pumpkin filling. Bake at 350 degrees for approx. one hour. Serve with whip cream if you wish. HINT: Assemble all three parts before you put them together.

I usually make pumpkin pie but this cake with its silly name is a good alternative, especially if someone else is making the pie and you have already bought the can of pumpkin. Children love it and it is relatively fail proof. You can cut the amount of sugar. I do.
