3 quarts cucumbers, sliced 1/2 quart onions, sliced 3 cups sugar 2 1/2 cups vinegar 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup salt 1/2 Tablespoon celery seed 1/4 cup mustard seed 1/2 Tablespoon turmeric
Soak onions and cucumbers for 3 hours in ice water and ice. Add salt to water while soaking. Mix other ingredients and bring to a boil. Add cucumbers and onions to boiling mixture, and let return to boil. Remove and pack in sterile glass containers and seal.
