1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 medium onion chopped
1 green pepper
1 Tablespoon butter
1 cup cooked tomatoes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
2 cups frozen or canned lima beans, cooked until soft.
1/8 teaspoon red pepper
1 1/2 cups cheese

Directions:
Saute lima beans, onion, pepper, and butter until golden brown. Simmer tomatoes 10 minutes. Add Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and black pepper. Layer beans, sauce, and cheese. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

This was served on special occasions, such as the Horseman's Association dinners. It was fairly simple to make, and we used to have it a good bit. A long time ago, I didn't care much for lima beans, but the older I got, I liked them better. This was typically served in the fall.
