250g Lean Topside Mince
½ cup Fresh Breadcrumbs (white or wholemeal)
1 Egg lightly beaten
1 cup Mushrooms, finely chopped
1 x 400g cans Tomatoes
1 cup Dry White Wine
2 cloves Garlic, crushed
2 tbsp chopped Fresh Basil
2 cups cooked Pasta
Directions:
Directions:
Combine mince, breadcrumbs, egg and mushrooms, mix well. Shape tablespoons of mixture into balls, place in tray in single layer, cover, refrigerate 30 minutes to allow mixture to become firm.
Combine undrained crushed tomatoes, wine, garlic and basil in the pan, bring to the boil, reduce heat, simmer uncovered 30 minutes, or until mixture is thickened and reduced about half. Add meatballs to tomato mixture, simmer gently, covered for about 40 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. Serve pasta with meatballs and tomato sauce.
To Microwave: Prepare mince mixture as above. Combine tomatoes, wine, garlic and basil in shallow dish and cook on high for 15 minutes, or until sauce has reduced by about half. Add meatballs to sauce in single layer and cook hight for 15 minutes or until cooked.
Note: Add about 1 cup of pasta gradually to a pan of rapidly boiling water, boil rapidly, uncovered for about 10 minutes or until the pasta is just tender. The time of cooking depends on the size and type of pasta used. Fresh pasta will take a few minutes to cook, packaged pasta, depending on size and type needs up to 15 minutes.
