Cake-
3 cups flour - plain
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup crisco
2 sticks whipped oleo (butter or margarine)
1 1/4 cup whole milk
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp vanilla

Icing-
1 stick oleo
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2/3 cup whole milk or carnation milk
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cake-
Cream oleo, crisco and sugar
Add flour and eggs (one at a time)
Add salt, baking powder, cocoa and milk.
Add vanilla.
Bake 325º for 1.5 hours in tube pan.

Icing-
Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add vanilla last.
Beat with hand mixer until cooled and thick - spread on cooled cake
