1 large hen
several hard boiled eggs
1 can carnation milk

Dumplings-
1.5 cups flour (plain)
1 tbsp shortening
ice water
1 egg
OR - buy Anne's dumplings in the frozen food section of grocery

Directions:
Directions:
Boil hen until tender. Cool and reserve broth.
Debone chicken and set aside.

Dumplings:
mix together flour, shortening, egg and water (to get to correct consistency) refrigerate over night

I like to use Wyler's chicken granules.

Roll out thin and drop into hot chicken broth.
As dumplings cook, remove with slotted spoon until all are cooked.

Add boiled eggs, chicken carnation milk and dumplings.
