2 61/2 oz cans minced clams (drained and save juice)
1 cup chopped onion
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup diced celery

White Sauce
3/4 cup butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
3/4 cup flour
dash of paper
1 pint half and half and 1 pint milk
or
1 quart half and half

Directions:
Directions:
Add clam juide to vegetables and enough water just to cover. Simmer 20 minutes or until soft.


Melt butter, add flour, salt, pepper and sugar. Add 1 pint half and half and 1 pint milk, or 1 quart half and half. Stir until thick. Add vegetables and clams to white sauce and mix. Cook until warm. Chowder may be thinned if necessary
