1 1/2 lb stew meat
2 T butter
1 pkg beef stew seasoning
2 C water
V-8 juice (optional)
1 onion, chopped
8 carrots, sliced
3 stalks celery, chopped
4 potatoes, cubed
1 can corn
1 can peas
1 can tomato puree

In soup pot, cook beef in butter over medium heat until browned. In bowl, stir together 1 pkg beef stew seasoning mix and 2 C water. Pour over beef, cover and cook on medium low heat for 1 1/2 hours. Stir in remaining ingredients and add enough V-8 juice/water to cover. Cook on medium heat for at least 1 hour.
