2 cups flour
1 cup butter

¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips (I usually use more than that)
¼ cup chopped nuts, optional

Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk until creamy. Add the flour and salt. Press into a 10 x13 jelly roll pan and bake for 20 minutes @ 350. When done, sprinkle the top with chocolate chips and let sit for about 5 minutes. The chips will turn shiny and soft. Spread over bars and sprinkle with the chopped nuts. Quick and very easy.
