20 dried (not dehydrated) dates
20 slices of bacon
10 walnuts, halved

Preheat oven to 350º
Slice a small cut in each date to create a pocket
Put 1/2 a walnut in each date's pocket and close the date's skin back over it.
Wrap each date in a strip of bacon - it will overlap a few times, depending on the length.
Place a sheet of aluminum foil over your cookie sheet and arrange your appetizers in rows on the cookie sheet.
Bake your appetizers for 10-12 minutes, or until bacon is fully cooked.
Serve appetizers warm or at room temperature..
