3 1/2 ro 4 1/2 lb. beef roast (rump, top round)
3 cups water
1 cup cider vinegar
4 heaping teaspoons brown sugar
14 oz, bottle ketchup
2 large onions, left whole
salt & pepper to taste
3 whole cloves
4 bay leaves
1 heaping teaspoon mixed pickling spices

Directions:

Combine all ingredients except the meat in a crockpot. Stir well. Submerge meat into mixture. Cook on low heat for 10-12 hours.
