"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for Potato Candy, by Gloria Cody, is from All My Children Gotta Eat,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
1 medium potato 1 c. peanut butter 1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
Boil potato until done. Mash potato in a mixing bowl. Add powdered sugar and stir until it is a dough-like consistency. Roll out on waxed paper. Spread peanut butter on top of dough. Roll up jellyroll style and slice into 1/2 inch wide pieces.
This is one of my Uncle Willy, and my brother Don's favorites. Enjoy!!
