2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
1/4 cup molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar (optional)

Grease a 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and cloves. Melt butter in saucepan. Stir brown sugar and eggs into melted butter. Stir molasses and vanilla into butter/sugar mixture. Add flour mixture to butter/sugar mixture. Spread batter in pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Center will sink slightly. Sift powdered sugar over top if desired. Cut into squares or rectangles. LOW FAT and low calorie!
