1-1/2 c. Sifted Flour
1/2 tsp. Soda
1 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
3/4 tsp. Cinnamon
3/4 c. Shortening
1 c. Sugar
1 Egg
1 c. Bananas, mashed
1-1/2 c. Oats
1/2 c. Nuts, chopped

Sift together first 5 ingredients. Set aside. In large mixing bowl cream shortening and add sugar gradually, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat well. Add bananas, oats and nuts mixing thoroughly. Add flour mixture and blend. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 1-1/2" apart. Bake at 400º about 12-15 minutes. Remove from pan at once.
