2 lbs. hamburger/ 1 can veggie burger

Sofrito: Chopper or blend in the food processer the following three ingredients:
1 bell pepper
1 onion
3 garlic cloves

1 - 8oz can tomato sauce
green olives
capers
oil with achoite
salt

Directions:
Directions:
Saute' the burger in the oil until blended add sofrito, tomato sauce, salt and simmer for 20 minutes together. Add green olives and capers simmer for 10 more minutes. Let the burger cool down before assembling the empandas, or rellenos.

Valerie: I enjoy using red and green bell pepper for a more colorful meat sauce. Chop the peppers, onions and the garlic and saute' until tender before adding to the burger. Prep time is lengthen for the chopping time.
