1/2 cup Butter, 1-1/2 cups Sugar, 2 Eggs, 2 cups Flour, 1 tsp. Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp. Salt, 3/4 cup Sour Cream, 1 cup chopped toasted Pecans, 1 T. grated Lemon Peel, 1/4 cup Lemon Juice

Cream butter and 1 cup of the sugar. Add eggs, mix well. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternating with the sour cream. Fold in the pecans and lemon peel. Bake in a loaf pan. Bake at 350º for about 50 minutes. In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice and remaining sugar. Cook and stir over medium hear until the sugar is dissolved. Pour over the warm bread. Cool completely before removing from loaf pan.
