1 1/2 C. sugar (divided) 1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. cinnamon 1 C. buttermilk
2 C. all-purpose flour 1 egg
1 tsp. soda 1/4 C. vegetable oil
Glaze: 1/4 C. powdered sugar
1 1/2 - 2 tsp. milk

Directions:

Combine 1/2 C. sugar an cinnamon. Set aside. Combine flour, soda, salt, and remaining sugar. Combine buttermilk, egg, and oil. Stir into dry ingredients just to combine. Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pan. Pour half of the batter into pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar. Carefully spread with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar. Swirl knife through batter. Bake at 350 for 45-50 min or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cook in pan 10 min. before turning out onto wire rack to cool completely. Combine glaze. Drizzle over bread.
