1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 c. flour
4 eggs
2 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Mix with a fork the baking powder, 1 1/2 c. flour, 2/3 c. brown sugar -- cut in the butter till fine and crumbly. Pat into greased 10 X 15 inch jelly roll pan.. Bake @ 350º 15 minutes. Meanwhile in a large bowl beat the eggs till foamy, then beat in the corn syrup, vanilla, 1/2 c. brown sugar, and 1/2 c. flour. When mixture is well blended, pour evenly over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake an additional 35 minutes till set.
