3-5 pounds chuck roast pepper
1 package brown gravy mix 1 1/2 cups water
optional: cut up potatoes, carrots, onion

Directions:
Place plastic cooking bag in slowcooker. Put roast, pepper, gravy mix, water & veggies inside the bag. Cover with lid. Cook on low 6-8 hours. Suggestions from others:
- Season the roast with pepper , garlic salt &/or steak seasoning, then place in the bottom of the crockpot. Place onion wedges, mushrooms halved, celery, carrots & potato's on top of roast. Season again; add about a a cup of water. Cook on low 8 hours. Make a gravy drippings.
- Use a can of beef gravy &/or cream of mushroom soup over all.
- Season roast with meat tenderizer, garlic powder, onion powder, salt(not much) & pepper. Coat with a little flour, brown roast on both sides in skillet. Put a little worchestershire sauce (barely cover the bottom of the cooker) in the cooker. Add browned meat in the cooker & a bit of water. Check periodically to see if it needs water added.
- Sear the roast or not, add 1 bottle of beer & 1 package of Good Seasons Italian mix. Cook on low 7-8 hours. Makes a great au jus too.
- Put the roast in the crock pot - add a packet of onion seasoning & pour over a can of coke - add veggies, potatoes, carrots etc.
