"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

4 c flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 c Crisco (or 1/2 butter, 1/2 Crisco)
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Mix all other ingredients and add. Combine slowly by using hands to mix together. Dough will be soft and sticky. Using lots of flour, roll dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut and bake 8 to 10 minutes until just done when touched with fingers. (NOTE: These cookies don't brown. They may be done and still be white.) Frost with white icing.
