3 c. flour
5 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 c. honey
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and all dry ingredients until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add egg and milk; mix until dough holds together. Turn out onto floured board and knead lightly with floured fingers. Roll out to 1 in. thickness and cut into biscuits with floured biscuit cutter. Or drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400º for approximately 12 minutes.
