2 lbs. pears, peeled, cored and ground
1 medium orange, unpeeled, seeded and ground
1 medium lemon, unpeeled, seeded and ground
1 (8-1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
1/4 cup maraschino cherries, coarsely chopped
1 (1-3/4 oz.) package powdered fruit pectin
5 cups sugar

1. Grind pears, orange, and lemon (separately if you have small food processor). Pour into large bowl. Add first six ingredients (pears through pectin) and mix well.
2. Spoon into a large Dutch oven, stirring well. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring frequently.
3. Add sugar and return to boil; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
4. Remove from heat and skim off foam with a metal spoon.
5. Quickly ladle honey into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace.
6. Cover at once with metal lids and screw on bands. Process in boiling water bath 15 minutes.

This has been a family treat for 60 years. It was served on holidays and birthday's. It will still make a special occasion out of any breakfast and toast or biscuits.
