2 14 oz. cans green beans
3 strips bacon
1/3 cup chopped onion
3 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 1/2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Drain green beans, reserve 1 cup liquid.

Chop bacon, brown until crisp. Remove bacon.

Saute onion in bacon drippings until yellow.

Add flour & stir.

Add bean liquid, stir slowly until it boils & becomes smooth & thick.

Add green beans, stir well.

Cover & let simmer slowly. Add half of the bacon, reserve the other half to sprinkle on top before serving.
