5 quarts of popped popcorn 1/2 cup butter 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup light corn syrup 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preheat oven to 250º. Boil for five minutes, stirring occasionally, butter, sugar, syrup and vanilla. Remove from heat and add baking soda. Pour mixture over popcorn in large roasting pan and mix well. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
Buttered microwave popcorn is what I use. It gives it a little bit of a buttery flavor.
