Ingredients:

3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. butter (do not use margarine)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. almonds, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Arrange crackers side by side in a single layer on jelly roll pan. In small sauce pan, combine brown sugar, butter, and vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a full boil across the surface. Continue boiling 4 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour evenly over crackers. Bake 10-12 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, allow to soften, then spread evenly with spatula. Sprinkle chopped almonds over top. Cool completely. Break or cut into pieces. These are especially good at Christmas!
