1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
1 c shortening
2 eggs, beaten
2 c quick oatmeal
1 c cocoanut
1 lb candy orange slices
2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
dash of salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cut candy and sprinkle with flour. Cream sugars, and shortening, and add beaten eggs, vanilla, and milk. Add flour, sifted with dry ingredients. Work in cocoanut, oatmeal, and orange pieces. This is a stiff dough. Drop by spoonfuls on greased sheet. Bake at 350 º until delicately browned.
