3 T. brown sugar
1 t. garlic
1 t. smoked paprika
1 t. ground red pepper (cayenne)

Directions:

Mix these ingredients together in a bowl, then rub onto 2 or 3 raw steaks in a pretty thick coating. The recommended steak is a thick cut, bone-in ribeye, but any steak you like will do.
Wrap each steak in plastic wrap and refrigerate 6 to 8 hours, overnight, or up to 48 hours, before grilling.

I have only done this once, and it turned out delicious. Definitely worth the extra planning ahead required. I hardly ever eat steak, but I tried a couple of bites of these rib-eyes and they were yum. I saw this first on "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" and Chef Ann swears by it. For you meat lovers out there, your next steak will be so flavorful that you'll be doing a happy dance after every amazing bite.
