2 large cans of yams, drained and mashed
(or bake some up fresh, peel and mash)
1/2 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
3 T. melted butter
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk

topping:
1/3 c. softened butter
1 c, brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Whip the potatoes to a smooth consistency with an electric mixer, then add all other ingredients. Pour into a well-oiled casserole dish.

For the topping, mix together the butter, brown sugar, flour and chopped pecans. Crumble over the top, making a solid layer that will bake to a slightly crunchy texture. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until bubbly.
