8 cups very finely shredded cabbage, about 1 head
1/4 cup shredded carrot, about 1 med carrot
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground pepper
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk or 1/4 cup milk with 1 tsp vinegar let sit to curdle
1 1/2 T white vinegar
2 1/2 T lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, milk, mayonnaise, buttermilk, vinegar and lemon juice and beat until smooth. Mix with the cabbage and carrots, Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
