1 cup butter ½ cup white sugar ½ cup brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups flour 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. baking soda Dash of salt
Cream butter. Add sugar and mix well. Add unbeaten egg and cream well. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients and mix well. Add to first part and blend. Roll into balls and press with fork. Sprinkle with white sugar.
