1 cup brown sugar 1 cup shortening 1 ½ cups oatmeal 1 ½ cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt ¼ cup water with a capful of vanilla Raspberry jam
Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Combine all ingredients and mix until completely moistened. Roll into balls. Flatten with fork. Dab with finger very slightly to make room for the jam. Place a dab of raspberry jam in the centre. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 F degree.
