2 lb brown sugar
2 C margarine (1 lb)
4 eggs
6 C flour
3 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown sugar and margarine.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add salt and soda, then flour, one cup at a time, mixing well while adding ingredients.
Mix well.

Form into logs, approximately 2" wide and 1" thick.
Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight (hence the name) or until chilled.
Cut into 1/4" slices and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15 minutes @ 325º.
