1 1/2 lb ground beef
1/3 cup beer or water
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 oz (1/3 cup) finely crumbled blue cheese
1 egg
1 garlic clove, minced, or 1/2 tsp chopped garlic in water (from 4-5 oz jar)
6 onion or sandwich buns, split
3 tablespoons dairy sour cream

Directions:

Heat grill. In large bowl, combine ground beef, beer, onion, 2 tablespoons of the blue cheese, egg and garlic; mix well. Shape mixture into 6 patties.

When ready to barbecue, place patties on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 10-15 minutes or until no longer pink in center, turning once.

Toast onion buns on grill, cut side down, during last minutes of cooking time. Place burgers on bottom halves of buns; top with sour cream, remaining blue cheese and top halves of buns.
