"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

1 lb. ground beef (optional)
1 can red beans
1 can pinto beans
1 can garbanzo beans
1 can black beans
1 can black eyed-peas
2 cans corn
2 cans Rotel tomatoes (I suggest 1 can original and 1 can mild)
2 packets of taco seasoning
1 packet of dry Ranch dressing mix

Brown ground beef, drain and set aside. Combine 5 cans of beans (do not drain), corn (drained), Rotel tomatoes, taco seasoning and Ranch mix into a large pot and stir. Add water until desired consistency, usually about 1 to 2 cups is enough. Stir in ground beef, turn stove to medium low and cook for about 20 minutes (or until warm).

Suggested Toppings:
Shredded cheese (4 cheese Mexican blend)
Sour cream

And Tortilla chips for dipping.
