Melt together in pan:
8 Tbs. cocoa
2/3 C. shortening

Beat in:
2 C. sugar
3 eggs

Mix in:
1-1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 C. walnuts
For slightly different taste add 1 C. dried cranberries

Bake in greased/floured 8x12 pan
350 20/25 minutes or until you leave a sight finger print in the crusty top.
Cut while warm
