Crust:
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter or margarine (you know we use butter)
3 eggs
1 c. flour
Frosting:
2-3 TB. water
1 c. powdered sugar
Filling:
1/2 stick softened marg.
1/2 c. butter
3/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. water
a little milk
1 tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crust ingredients like pie crust and roll into ball. Divide in half and press onto ungreased cookie sheet--12x3 in. rectangle on each sheet. Set aside. To prepare filling, heat butter and water to rolling boil, remove from heat. Stir in almond extract and flour with wooden spoon. Stir fast until it forms a ball, add eggs one at a time, beating with mixer after each one. Divide in half and spread over crust. Bake @ 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Watch, sometimes I cover it with foil so it dosen't get too brown. Let cool and frost.

Personal Notes:
Grandma calls this Swedish Kringle and she always made it and brought it to the Holland Home for her Birthday treat. It's best made the morning that you want to eat it .
